Make A Day of It!

I feel incredibly grateful that, along with the increasing amount of passing traffic visiting my gallery, more and more customers are making a special trip just to view my fine art photography! It’s wonderful to see the area thriving, with a mix of new and established businesses that make a visit truly worthwhile. While I would love to welcome you to my gallery, there are so many other reasons to spend a day exploring the local makers, businesses, and shops.

The Curiosity Shoppe in Ranfurly is an absolute must-visit.  I often stop by to find small pieces of china and other intriguing bric-a-brac that inspire my creative work. For instance, my piece Maniototo Satsuma Buttons was inspired by a fascinating discussion about their unique collection of buttons.

New to Ranfurly’s main street are Lohi Linen, offering environmentally conscious clothing and more, and the variety store Bizarre Affair, both of which add fresh energy to the area. Even our local pharmacy is worth a visit, with a fabulous selection of gift ideas—perfect for this time of year! At the end of your day, you can unwind with a refreshing drink at the Thirsty Moa, conveniently located at Lohi.

Further afield, the Star Dust Gallery in Naseby and the Lucky Pony collectible second-hand shop near Oturehua are excellent additions to any itinerary. All of this is set against a backdrop of stunning scenery, enhanced by a delightful selection of museums, cafés, and eateries, making for a truly splendid day out
