Framed Print - Tempestuous Triangles

This piece is constructed using photographed textures that I arranged into precise geometric forms. The design is based on the idea of the Penrose triangle, creating an optical illusion where the shape appears solid and continuous, even though it can’t exist in real space. Repeated angled lines draw the eye inward and give a strong sense of structure and depth.

There are three separate triangular forms, each with subtle differences in tone and colour. The surface textures add variation and prevent the geometry from feeling too rigid. Overall, the work focuses on clean construction, careful alignment, and the tension between flat photographic surfaces and the illusion of three-dimensional form.
