Between Worlds, On Reflection:  This image was created in-camera as a multiple exposure, combining two moments to create something that feels both familiar and a little otherworldly. I love how the mirrored treeline blurs the line between land and sky — it’s as if you’re standing in that quiet space between worlds, where everything feels calm and still.

The title has a double meaning for me. “On reflection” is, of course, a nod to the literal reflections in the scene, but it also speaks to that pause we take when we look back or think things over. It’s about those moments of quiet contemplation where you see things differently — sometimes more clearly — the second time around.

Photographed by award winning photographer, Janyne Fletcher GMNZIPP, this image received a bronze award at the 2025 NZIPP Iris awards.
