A Storm is Coming Now: The title for "A Storm is Coming Now" was inspired by the powerful lyrics of a Midnight Oil song that fine art photographer Janyne Fletcher GMNZIPP felt echoed the intensity of this creative piece. The title seemed to be the perfect reflection of her vision for this striking landscape of the Kakanui Mountains. Captured in the dramatic landscapes of Central Otago's Maniototo region, this image is a masterful example of the artistic technique of intentional camera movement and multiple exposures.
In this piece, each frame progressively brightens, gracefully tracing the mountain skyline as the sequence unfolds, creating a dynamic sense of movement and impending change.
This image earned prestigious accolades, including a Gold Award at the NZIPP 2018 Iris Awards and a Silver Distinction Award at the 2018 Australian APPA Awards.
